M. Christian BERGERON

Hello Madam

Thank you for your prompt return.

Our blog is indeed the summary in pictures of our trip; it allowed our friends to follow our journey … and has even aroused in some of them, the desire to discover Vietnam. We remodelled it so that it could be read chronologically, the photos were enlarged and videos whose montages were too long to be made during our trip were added.

Our overall impression of this trip is very positive.

Your organization has been flawless; the punctuality of the different guides, the safe driving of the drivers, and the respect of the programs and activities are really very pleasant.

We discovered with great pleasure the rural landscapes of the Mai Chau Valley.

Thien Ha Cave and the Halong Bay Cruise were the two highlights of our northern tour. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for giving us the benefit of an English-speaking guide on the cruise; the program was accurate and our knowledge of English would not have allowed us to understand it clearly. Bac was attentive and we very much appreciated his advice and clarifications during the visit to the cave or the Kayak ride. Only one regret, there is no longer any junk that mounts these sails so particular which was the mark of recognition of the bay.

We begin, after a pleasant flight, the visit to the centre.

The city of Hoi An and its surroundings will be our favourite. The city is touristy but its pedestrian streets make walks pleasant and, at nightfall, all the lit lanterns make it magical. The welcome at Thuy Dong 3 Hotel is exceptional, we feel like we are “at home”. The room is comfortable and quiet and we are a short walk from the old town. The site of My Son is impressive, and the little dance show we attended was friendly. The walk-in Kufa and the time spent at a family’s house where we participated in a cooking class and had a delicious meal were fabulous and even made us forget about the rain.

The visit to the imperial mausoleum of Tu Duc was the occasion of a very beautiful walk in this place where reigns a lot of serenity (a big thank you to Tanh who knew how to adapt the schedules so that the visit is done outside the “peak hours”)

It’s already time to fly to make the last part of the trip: southern Vietnam.

Saigon is a truly exhausting city. The traffic is hellish. It is truly a big city with an impersonal welcome.

The departure for Ben Tre and the Mekong Delta begins with a huge traffic jam at the exit of the city and its “suburbs”

Our stay at the “Mekong Garden” is very pleasant and the discovery of the island of Hoa Binh Phuoc is very friendly.

Floating markets are not what we had imagined; we thought we would see the housewives, aboard their small boats, come to buy the food for the day; in fact, they are “semi-wholesale” markets where sellers come to stock up.

Our last evening in the south, in the city of Can Tho, is a moment of relaxation. We ate a great meal by the river (on the advice of our guide), bought our last souvenirs and had a great walk by the water.

Our return to Saigon the next day was long, with the anguish, for our guide and driver, of traffic jams at the entrance of the city that could risk making us arrive too late at the airport.

We were delighted with this tour and we are already thinking about our next destination; maybe Cambodia. We will contact you soon if we stop in this country.

We wish you a very happy new year of the Pig

Kind regards

Christian and Marie Bergeron
