Hopeful Humanitarian Mission to Lang Thip, Yên Bai – 24/08/2024

As part of the “Accompanying Children on their Path to School” program, Horizon Vietnam Travel continued its charitable mission to Lang Thip, in Yên Bai province, on August 24, 2024. This project is part of a series of philanthropic initiatives carried out by our agency. Prior to this mission, we organized two avocado sales to raise funds, which enabled us to finance the construction of a new kitchen for the local school.

On the day of our visit, we had the honor of inaugurating this newly built kitchen. We also visited the children, to whom we gave meaningful gifts to help them prepare for the start of the school year. It was a day full of joy and discovery, particularly for the children who got to taste Bun Moc for the first time, a pork noodle soup they had been eagerly awaiting. Despite the difficulties and dangers of the journey, this day of sharing strengthened our commitment to these communities and left an unforgettable memory in the children.

The construction of a new kitchen at Lang Thip School, Yên Bai, is an important project for Horizon Vietnam Travel following our last humanitarian action. During our visit, we found that the old kitchen was in poor condition and did not meet hygiene standards. To address this issue, we sought permission from the school to build a new kitchen. Through this initiative, the children will be able to eat clean and balanced meals, which will contribute to their good health and help them focus better at school.

Meaningful Gifts to Prepare for the Start of the School Year

On behalf of our clients, we delivered the toys they brought from France to children in need in Vietnam

During this trip, Horizon Vietnam Travel not only brought its support, but also practical gifts to help the children prepare well for the new school year. For the 20 students in secondary school, each child received a backpack, 10 notebooks and a pencil case with school supplies. The 35 students in primary school also received similar gifts, including a backpack, notebooks and school supplies. Additionally, 53 preschool-age children received gifts including a backpack, a hat, sandals, towels and a pillow. These gifts not only provide school supplies, but also bring joy and motivation to start the new school year with enthusiasm.

Furthermore, this trip brought the children a small joy, but rich in meaning: for the first time, they were able to taste Bun Moc, a pork noodle soup. The children were very eager, and a joyful atmosphere spread as soon as the steaming bowls of soup were served. They savored every last spoonful, fully appreciating this new flavor. This simple but warm moment brought great joy to the children.

We also organized a candy celebration. It was a wonderful opportunity for the children to have fun together, share moments of happiness and create new happy memories in their childhood.

Love Through Charitable Clothing

Eager to support Horizon Vietnam Travel’s ongoing humanitarian actions, many benefactors and our travelers generously donated used clothing so we could offer it to the children. These gifts were delivered directly to the children with the message “What is old for some, is new for others,” carrying with it all the love and care of the community. Through these donations, the children received additional clothing for their daily lives, which brought them joy and comfort.

Conclusion

The charitable mission to Lang Thip, Yên Bai has ended, but the values that Horizon Vietnam Travel brought continue to spread. It is not only a meaningful milestone in our journey, but also the beginning of new opportunities for communities still in need. Each action is not limited to offering material goods, but also aims to instill confidence in a brighter future.
