Horizon Vietnam mobilizes for clothing drive to help disaster victims
Table of contents
The typhoon has certainly passed, but the consequences it left behind remain extremely heavy for thousands of people in the affected areas. Indeed, numerous homes have been swept away by floods and possessions accumulated over a lifetime have been destroyed in an instant. So, the inhabitants of these regions not only find themselves without a roof, but must also face new difficulties, particularly with the approach of winter and the urgent need for clothing and basic necessities.
It is in this context that Horizon Vietnam reacted quickly by launching a clothing collection campaign for still-usable clothes, intended to be distributed to the most affected families. Not only did this initiative provide an immediate response, but it also embodies a gesture of solidarity that is profoundly meaningful, offering these people a source of warmth and comfort.
Following this appeal, Horizon Vietnam Travel benefited from massive support from numerous donors. Within just one week, we managed to collect more than an entire truck full of clothes from all over. The donations are varied: winter coats, children’s clothes, to everyday clothes. Each garment is precious and will offer concrete support to many families to get through this difficult period.
It is important to emphasize that these clothes, which may seem of little value to some, are actually priceless gifts for those who have just experienced a natural disaster. Not only do they provide warmth, but they also allow them to regain some stability and comfort in this chaotic situation. We took care of delivering clothes and other donations in the most affected areas, ensuring that they reached directly to the people who needed them most.
Furthermore, Horizon Vietnam also offered school material and financial assistance to support families in difficulty, particularly children whose access to education has been compromised by the disaster. These additional contributions aim to alleviate daily difficulties and encourage the resumption of a normal life for families and their children.
In conclusion, we wish to express our deep gratitude to all individuals and organizations who, through their generosity, contributed to this solidarity action. Thanks to these donations, we were able to demonstrate that, even in adversity, mutual aid and solidarity allow us to restore hope to those who need it most.
