Horizon Vietnam Travel Honors War-Disabled Veterans on Martyrs Day 27/07/2024

On the occasion of the 77th anniversary of the Day of War-Disabled and Martyrs (July 27, 1947 – July 27, 2024), Horizon Vietnam Travel, in collaboration with the Next-G Humanitarian Fund, the Hoa Sen humanitarian group, the Tu Tam Group, and various donors, organized a visit and gift distribution at the War-Disabled and Rehabilitation Center of Duy Tien, located in Ha Nam Province, Vietnam. This event, held on July 25, 2024, aimed to honor and provide moral and material support to the war-disabled cared for in this center.

War has left deep marks, both material and mental. The war-disabled in the Duy Tien Care and Rehabilitation Center are living witnesses to these sacrifices for the nation’s independence and freedom. Their stories evoke the pain felt during climate changes, the loss of self-confidence due to bodily wounds, and the constant longing for their family and home.

Our charitable group presented gifts to veterans as part of the program

During the visit, representatives of Horizon Vietnam Travel and its partners expressed their deep gratitude and distributed 55 gifts, each worth one million dong, to the war-disabled. Although these gifts are modest, they symbolize sincere recognition of the younger generation for the sacrifices of veterans.

During the visit, the war-disabled shared their personal experiences. For example, Nguyen Van A, a veteran cared for in the Duy Tien center, tells a poignant story of his life after the war. He reveals that he currently has two bullet fragments embedded in his head, painful remnants of past conflicts. Removing these fragments would be fatal for him, but leaving them in place means having to endure severe headaches with every change in weather. This daily reality illustrates not only the physical price paid by veterans, but also the courage and resilience needed to continue living with the lasting consequences of war.

The visit to the Duy Tien War-Disabled and Rehabilitation Center is one of many initiatives organized each year by organizations and individuals dedicated to honoring and supporting veterans.
