When we left the village in September, the old house had not yet been dismantled but the wood for the new one was beginning to arrive.

We followed the progress of the construction site.

And seven weeks later, the new house is now complete.

To allow the 4 houses offered by Horizon-Vietnam to be quickly assembled, 70 villagers spontaneously offered their labor.
The construction of each house concluded with a huge meal to thank all the people who had worked on the construction sites. What Bau is most proud of today is having created in the heart of this village a beautiful movement of solidarity.
He knows he can continue to count on all the villagers to work on his future projects.
He also knows he can count on the support of the village chief, who through this movement of solidarity has found a new role steeped in humanity among the villagers.
Looking at the photos taken by Bau during his first trip and comparing them to those we took a month later, what struck us was that the hope they had regained had completely transformed the faces of the families he had helped. More than decent housing, it was above all humanity, dignity, and the will to move forward despite difficulties that these families had regained.
