The second family we visited was that of Mr. Vang A Nhi.

His rice field produces only a third of his family’s food needs, so his family survives rather than lives.

Mr. Vang often sought help from local authorities, the commune mayor, the village chief to be helped, but no one listened to the appeal he made. During their meeting, Mr. Vang confided to Bau that he had spent many years saving 400,000 VND (15€), but with this small budget, no project to relocate his family could be considered.

So, through his Horizon-Vietnam association, Bau offered him 20,000,000 VND (770€) to build the house of his dreams. He signed a contract and received half the budget (385€).
