Meaningful Charity Trip to Lang Thip, Yên Bai – June 22, 2024

On June 22, 2024, in extreme weather conditions with torrential rain, the spirit of the Horizon Vietnam Travel team did not waver. Together, we visited and brought practical gifts to the residents of Liên Son village, Lang Thip commune, Van Yên district, Yên Bái province – one of Vietnam’s poorest mountainous provinces. Yên Bai, known for its difficulties in terms of living conditions and infrastructure, requires special attention. For this reason, Horizon Vietnam Travel did not hesitate to organize this charitable trip, with the aim of progressively improving the living conditions of local residents.

The living conditions of residents in this region are extremely difficult. Houses are rudimentary and lack basic services. The interior of dwellings is sparse, with clothes hung haphazardly and essential kitchen utensils placed on rough surfaces. Furniture is old and in poor condition, testifying to the precariousness of the families living there.

During this trip, the charity team led by Ms. Minh Thu – Deputy Director of Horizon Vietnam Travel distributed gifts to 12 families facing particular hardships. The gifts included basic necessities and school supplies for children. Mr. Triêu Ton Ton, who is paralyzed, and Ms. Đặng Thị Mong with her three young grandchildren, received practical gifts such as an emergency stretcher and school supplies.

Furthermore, a celebration was organized for Hmong children in the resettlement area, creating a warm and joyful atmosphere, rich in meaning for the community. On this occasion, children received various candies and sweets. Team members prepared bags of chips, lollipops, cakes, assorted candies… This distribution of sweets added a festive touch to the event, bringing joy and happiness to the children. In addition, cultural performances performed by the children were presented, further enriching the experience and strengthening community bonds.

This charitable program is not just an ordinary volunteer activity, but also proof of Horizon Vietnam Travel’s long-term commitment to community development and deep care for difficult lives.
