From March 25-26, 2023, the People’s Committee of Bao Lam District, Cao Bang province (northeast Vietnam), and the Steve Bui and Friends Foundation organized the inauguration ceremony and put into service 3 concrete bridges for the benefit of the population: Ban Bung bridge (Nam Cao commune), Na Mat bridge (Nam Quang commune) and Pac Rang bridge (Thach Lam commune).
  • The Ban Bung bridge measures 20 meters in length and 3.5 meters in width, with a span of 12 meters;
  • The Na Mat bridge measures 9 meters in length and 3.5 meters in width, and was started on December 10, 2022;
  • The Pac Rang bridge measures 28 meters in length, 3.5 meters in width, with a span of 16 meters; construction began on December 11, 2022.
After more than 3 months of construction, the 3 bridges were completed and put into service. The construction was financed by the “Steve Bui and Friends” Fund at a total cost of 2.8 billion VND (approximately €111,160).
Furthermore, the Steve Bui and Friends Fund and donors, including the travel agency HORIZON VIETNAM TRAVEL, donated 500 school shirts, 200 warm 3-layer jackets, 100 hats, 250 kg of peanuts, 200 boxes of instant noodles, 1,000 pairs of socks and sweets to the children of schools in the 3 communes.

The 3 bridges are important transit points. Indeed, numerous waterfalls, steep slopes or sudden local flooding, especially during the rainy season, make the movement of people very difficult.

We are honored to have contributed in small part to the construction of these 3 bridges. They were completed to meet the mobility needs of 443 families that group together over 2,300 residents. This makes it possible for residents of nearby communes to connect and exchange goods, thus contributing to local socio-economic development.

At HORIZON VIETNAM TRAVEL, a large part of the agency’s profits is dedicated to humanitarian activities. The Horizon Vietnam team wishes to express its deep gratitude to you, dear travelers, for choosing us and for helping us carry out our humanitarian activities.
