Opening of the digital corporate space to communicate supply and demand in tourism – SOLIDARISME platform

Horizon Travel and other travel companies recently opened the project “Digital corporate space for communicating supply and demand for jobs in tourism – SOLIDARISME platform” in collaboration with the University of Hanoi. Vice Rector Nguyen Thi Cuc Phuong as well as management and lecturers from the French Faculty and the faculties involved in the project also took part in the ceremony.

The SOLIDARISME project – “Improving employment opportunities for foreign language students with a tourism orientation in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic” – is funded by the AUF (Agence universitaire de la Francophonie). Hanoi University is coordinating the project, which involves three other universities: the University of Foreign Languages ​​(VNU Hanoi), Hue University and Da Nang University. The aim is to train around 2,000 students with a tourism orientation in the language subjects English, French, Chinese, Russian, Spanish, Portuguese and Italian in order to provide companies with versatile young talent.

The platform was designed by I&E Vietnam Education and Technology Development GmbH. It brings benefits to travel companies and students and contributes to the future development of the tourism industry. Companies save costs and time when searching for personnel: By clicking on the solidarisme.hanu.vn link, they can create a company profile and publish internship and job offers – with free support from the project coordination.

Through the platform, the companies are not only directly connected to the 2,000 beneficiary students, but also to all students and alumni of Hanoi University who want to enter the tourism job market, as the platform is linked to “Hanu Connections”. Students and alumni can log in to SOLIDARISME with their Hanu Connections account, create a profile and apply directly for internship and job offers from tourism companies.
