Lai Chau Province

Located in the northwest of Vietnam, Lai Chau shares its border with China, Laos and the provinces of Lao Cai, Son La and Dien Bien. The province of Lai Chau has high mountains that rise especially in the part between the Red River and the Da River (the Putalen peak culminates at 3.096 m)

The landscape is beautiful with many narrow valleys, waterfalls, rivers, ethnic villages, suspension bridges… The atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing, in a very green setting. The population is composed of Thai, Hmong, Viêt, Giay, Hà Nhì ethnic groups, etc… The forests provide wood, various species of bamboo, dyer’s yam, stick-lac, cardamom, mushroom, anise. It is also a place where it is pleasant to go hiking because the setting is beautiful and the diversity of landscapes is important.
