Located about 12 km from the center of Dalat, Lang Biang Mountain (also called Lam Vien Mountain) rises imposingly and magnificently as the roof of the city of Dalat.

The name of this mountain is derived from folklore about the lovers, K’Lang and Ho Biang, who could not be together due to the conflict between their tribes. This brought about a tragic end for the couple and the mountain, therefore, represents their undying love.

Standing on top of Lang Biang Mountain, you will enjoy a calm atmosphere and a panoramic view of a green valley in Da Lat City. Camping, exploring the natural flora, and bird watching are recommended activities when arriving in Lang Biang. Also, Lang Biang Mountain is an ideal destination for adventurous activities like rock climbing, trekking, and hiking. Three or four hours are probably necessary to reach the summit. There is a road that will take you through strawberry fields, vegetable greenhouses, and a coffee plantation. If you are afraid of taking the wrong road, do not hesitate to ask the friendly inhabitants that you will meet on your way.

In the heart of Da Lat City, Xuan Huong Lake which was once the habitat of many indigenous people of the Langbiang high plateau, is today a characteristic feature of this beautiful city and it represents one of the must-see sites in Dalat! This lake is crescent moon shaped, it covers an area of ​​about 43ha and spreads over other sites like Da Lat Flower Garden and Cu Hill. By visiting this place, you can not only contemplate its meadows, and its pine forests but also rest under the conifers. Along the shores of the lake abounds willows and peach trees. Founded in 1966, the garden is located at the top of Cu hill, in the heart of this city, and covers an area of ​​about 7,000 m². Da Lat Flower Garden is home to over 300 types of native and exotic flowers, many of which bloom year-round. You can explore an extensive collection of flowers here, including a giant cactus garden, fields of orchids, and displays of roses, mimosa, and hydrangeas. All of them create a colorful and picturesque landscape!

Every 2 years, the spring flower fair and the winter flower festival takes place in this garden. These two seasons are therefore perfect for discovering this colorful place.

  • Linh Phuoc Pagoda

To get to Linh Phuoc Pagoda, you will need to take the minute train from Dalat station to Trai Mat village for 25 minutes. Covered with stunning mosaics, this pagoda is a beautiful Buddhist shrine in Da Lat. Completed in 1952, it is also known as the “broken glass pagoda”. The main gate is decorated by the 49-meter-long dragon’s head, painstakingly reconstructed from 12,000 glass bottles. The main hall consists of two rows of mosaics and numerous bas-reliefs depicting the stories of the Lotus and Shakyamuni. The walls, and the ceilings are all encrusted with thousands of small pieces of broken terracotta, porcelain, and glass. It is truly one of the sites to see in Dalat!

At the top of Linh Phuoc Pagoda stands a bell tower and a golden Bodhisattva statue. Once inside, you can write your wishes on small pieces of yellow paper, stick them to the bell, and ring three times for your prayers to be sent to Buddha.
