Dear Lien, I still haven’t sorted, straightened, or cropped… all my 5000 photos! I am sending you the most striking of our wonderful 28-day trip. A thousand times thank you to all of you for always being available, for the perfect organisation, and for the attention of every moment. Thank you of course to our teams of guide-driver Bach and Thanh in the North, the warm and funny with whom we lived a magical week, Diep and Ha in the centre, informative full of humour and perfect, even during the magnificent bike rides under the sun, Dao and Phuong in the South, reserved but so kind and attentive, Dao to whom we asked 1000 questions! All of them were extremely available and professional, so helpful that we were sometimes generated by so much attention. Vietnamese people are welcoming, smiling, warm, and love to joke. Even if we don’t speak the same language, we can understand each other and have fun. The landscapes and flora are fabulous and so varied that we were dizzy, and the cuisine… Ah! Vietnamese gastronomy, which is so varied too, is always a treat that has nothing to envy French cuisine. Besides, I regularly make green papaya salad to extend our trip! Good cars very comfortable, excellent drivers, and careful. The well-chosen hotels, the guest house in Ba Be unforgettable… But, only unforgettable memories, impossible to say which is the best, Vietnam is so beautiful and so endearing! Between the serenity of the countryside and the frenzy of the cities, the sites, the temples and pagodas, how to choose? When I look at the photos, tears come to my eyes. But you know that our most beautiful memories are in our hearts and if, as we hope, we make another trip to Asia, it will be with you, without any hesitation!!
We embrace you all warmly. Evelyne and Michel Gagnaire
