Hello Ms. Ly DOAN,
Sorry to send you only news but it took us a little time to get our feet back on the ground.
To begin with, we really want to thank you and all your colleagues as well as our guides and drivers who have been outstanding and really available to my companion and me and our children. I understood from the preparation of our trip that I had made the right choice by choosing your travel agency, and it was confirmed then when you welcomed us in your agency with your small gifts, tea and sweets and of course throughout our trip. Everything we were looking for and that we had put in our wishes during our first exchanges of mail: exchanges with the inhabitant, cooking classes, hiking, cycling, and the summit the day + the night spent aboard our private Junk, nothing escaped you! You allowed us to discover as much as possible for our first discovery trip to Vietnam and this with impeccable professionalism. Throughout our stay, you heard from us to know if everything was going well, we were really confident and reassured.
We started our stay from the North and as we progressed in our trip it was more and more beautiful, both in terms of the landscapes, the human exchanges with the locals and with our terrible guide and driver, with whom we really shared very good moments and the hotels where you set the bar very high at the Retreat of Pu Luong. All the time embellished with very good and hearty meals, great activities very varied, bike, sampan, walk, … After a week, very sad to leave our guide and driver, we flew to the centre. And there, we really want to thank our organizer who in the middle of the Sunday night, following a landing in another city because of the weather conditions, organized everything to transfer us to our hotel which was 2 hours away, luck that you had lent us a mobile phone. We then met our second guide who also knew his region very well and who despite the rainy weather managed to make us live very nice moments, pottery, sampan ride in the fishing village,… We spent our New Year in Hoi An, it was magical, all these colourful lampions, the fireworks and the party !!!
The next morning we took our last domestic flight, to the South where we were greeted by our last guide who took us directly to see the Cu Chi tunnels, during the ride he explained the Vietnam War, he knows really well. We then had a great time at the inhabitant’s house, where in the evening we tasted with them rice alcohol? great moments still of sharing. We ended up in the Mekong Delta with its floating markets and the heavy heart to know that in the evening we left for our country where the cold and greyness awaited us.
We didn’t have much luck with the weather but despite the greyness and rain that accompanied us the last 7 days, my family and I had the most beautiful of our trips. It will remain engraved in our hearts forever. This trip is a famous life lesson for all of us when we see especially in the North, what the Vietnamese live, they are such brave people.
My partner and I are also considering coming back to enjoy North Vietnam longer because we did not have enough time to do everything but it is certain that we will come back to you in a few months because our wish would be to return at the end of September 2020.
Thanks to the photos I put on Instagram, we made many of our friends want to come and discover your country.
On behalf of Jade, Louis, Arthur and Tom, we thank you again a thousand times for having been able to make this trip such a rich and unforgettable adventure.
We wish you many good things for the coming months.
See you soon
Anne-Catherine Demay and family?
